The Plasmatics were an american punk band started by Rod Swensen and Wendy O Williams, and known for wild, unhinged, destructive, and transgressive live shows, involving chainsaws, nudity, and various other acts of destruction. They were active from the late 1970s to early 1980s, after which Wendy O. Williams went on to a solo career that included starring in such cult films as the punk exploitation classic Reform School Girls.
