Anti-war poetry by Samuel Charters, musician, record producer, writer, and music historian who specialized in blues and jazz research. Charters wrote these poems in protest of the United States’ war in Vietnam. Portents was a small magazine run by Samuel Charters that was often comprised of a single folded sheet. Contributors for various issues included Olson, Larry Eigner, John Weiners, Jack Spicer, and others.
